Our 1st time staying in a Tru by Hilton hotel and we weren’t impressed. I shudder to think of the dirt, germs, and diseases that they might have been exposed to. This is unacceptable and very worrisome because on the last day of our stay the hotel was packed with school children. I spent money and time that I should have used to enjoy visiting my mother on cleaning the hotel room. I was so disgusted by the state of the room that I had to buy cleaning supplies and disinfect everything myself. Management did not contact me, nor after seeing my review and photos publicly respond. After thoroughly cleaning the floors, I contacted the front desk once more informing the attendant that I appreciated their assistance but I would be posting a review on Google, and that I would like Management to contact me the following day. I had no choice but to accept it because there were no other rooms available. The bed platforms were dirty, the sheets were wrinkled, and the floors were grimy. I previewed the second room and found it slightly better than the first one, but still unacceptable. They offered me a room that was not comparable to the room I had booked, and then another room that was on a lower-level floor. I complained to the front desk staff and was offered a different room, they were helpful and stated they just couldn’t find people who would work.
I felt like I was in a cheap motel instead of a Hilton hotel. The platform beds were covered with dirt and dust, the toilet bowl had brown stains on the outside that looked like dried blood or feces, the sheets were wrinkled, and the floors were sticky and grimy. The room was in a terrible state of hygiene and sanitation. I booked a room for three nights from March 26 to March 29, 2023, and I regretted it as soon as I entered the room.
However, I was very disappointed and disgusted by my recent experience. I am a loyal customer of your brand and I usually enjoy staying at your hotels. (I am posting this because my Google review can't be found.) I am writing to file a complaint with your hotel chain about the appalling conditions I encountered at your Prattville, AL location.
